November 23, 2017

There's a lot of space in this Defence Week, with both Katherine Ziesing and Philip Smart reporting on developments as Australia's space agency starts to take shape. Katherine also reports on the possibility of formulating a Bipartisan Australian Defence Agreement

Nigel Pittaway reports from Marinette in Wisconsin on Fincantieri's plans to build cruise ship blocks in Australia and there's also news on NSW attempts to galvanise local defence industry and a recent cyber security report

An announcement on the $3 billion Sea 1180 Offshore Patrol Vessels tender appears imminent as the National Security Committee sat yesterday and Austal requested a trading halt on the ASX.

Our closing date for Essington Lewis Award submissions, December 13, is coming up fast so don't leave this until it's too late.

Finally ADM will be hosting its inaugural STEM in Defence Summit next Thursday in Canberra at the Hyatt. We look forward to seeing some of you there,
