Leo Timmers is three-times winner of the Children's and Youth Jury Award and winner of the Bookfeather Award for illustration. He was born in 1970 in Belgium and started to draw comics at the age of 12. Trained in graphic design, he illustrates for magazines and papers as well as writing and illustrating picture books. He now has a large following in Belgium as a preeminent picture book author.

 

James Brown is a New Zealand 
writer, editor and poet. He has published five collections of his poems and is included in many others. Brown has been a finalist in the Montana New Zealand Book Awards three times.
