A reminder that Responsible Beverage Service training will be required for all licensed establishments as of December 1st, 2024.
TIANS has been delivering responsible beverage service training for over 20 years, and prices have been reduced to support Industry with Server training (now $35) and Manager training (now $50). Our Serve Right Programs have been developed in Nova Scotia, are delivered by your provincial association through a local technology company and have recently been updated to reflect current case law and best practices.

TOURISM INNOVATION PITCH CHALLENGE
IGNITE Atlantic and TIANS hosted the 1st of 4 Rural Nova Scotia Tourism Innovation Challenge Pitch Sessions in Digby on Tuesday, November 19th. We extend our sincere thanks to all who took part and look forward to the next pitch event, taking place in New Glasgow on Tuesday, December 3rd. In January of 2025, the Rural Challenge will travel to Sydney and wrap up in Bridgewater. MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID TRAINING
TIANS and the Nova Scotia Tourism Human Resource Council are pleased to offer virtual Mental Health First Aid Training (MHFA). This informative training opportunity will take place virtually on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 from 9am-3:30pm through Opening Minds, a division of the Canadian Mental Health Commission. Much like traditional first aid,
MHFA fosters the ability to identify common signs of distress and deliver immediate aid until professional assistance is accessible. Seats are limited and we anticipate the session will fill up fast. BUILDING INCLUSIVE LEADERSHIP WORKSHOP Coming Soon!
TIANS and NSTHRC continue to provide customized and Industry driven training for our Sector. As a follow up a previous half-day session offered by the NSTHRC, this upcoming FULL-DAY workshop will build on Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility in Leadership. Scheduled for the 3rd week in January, this session will be sure to fill quickly. Final details are being worked out and will be shared with Industry in coming weeks.
