No Images? Click here With four weeks to go until you join us, we thought this would be a good opportunity to explain what your college has to offer. As soon as you arrive in College, you will be greeted by Second and Third Year Contacts (STYCs) who have volunteered to make sure you receive a warm welcome. They are a good example of what colleges are all about, student-led communities. All colleges offer the opportunity to play sport, stand for election, volunteer (in the college and wider community), organise social events or just relax and socialise. All of this work is facilitated by the college team and your elected student committee. All college members elect, and are represented by, the Junior Common Room Committee. They have organised a warm welcome for you and will continue to organise events and support college activities throughout your time in college. “James College is the most inclusive and open college here at the University of York. We lead the way with opportunities for our students from sports to event planning and much more besides.
