Despite everything, time continues to tick on. Eventually, everyone's hourglass runs out of sand, and we run out of time.

Prompt of the Week

From Career 360 Staff Lead,
Marisa Cazanave-Steward

There's the saying, finding a full time job is a full time job. Often you can't, and shouldn't, go through the challenge alone.

Write a letter of support to a friend who has been searching for a job for some time now. Remind them of their value, why you believe in them, and why asking for mentorship and career guidance is the perfect step in the right direction.

EDITORIAL SPOTLIGHT

Emily Méndez

Meet Editor in Residence
& Mentee Alum, Emily!

Favorite Girls Write Now Story:
Pan Dulce in My Veins by Jazmine Florencio
This piece was such a sweet reminder of my own childhood. My dad and I had this simple, yet warm tradition of visiting our local Mexican bakery at any time of the day, and after reading this piece, I am inspired to revisit our old memories and share a cozy conversation with him over pan dulce and cafecito.

Favorite Writing Prompt:
What is a life lesson that you have learned from a child?

Editorial Highlight: I am so excited to continue thinking about storytelling, not only as a vehicle for creative expression, but as a means to education and community. I am passionate about the power of language and storytelling, particularly for people with disabilities. As an Editor-in-Residence, I am hopeful to support the team in spearheading initiatives that celebrate the enrichment of storytelling when it is accessible and when it values inclusion and advocacy.
