ASMS organises JCC meetings three times a year with your DHB’s management team.

These meetings are a good chance to put issues that matter to you and your colleagues in front of the chief executive and senior managers. We always discuss things that are topical and relevant to your work as an SMO, such as staff shortages, accomodation and the surge in acute demand across most DHBs, and we greatly value your input at these meetings. It’s especially important for ASMS to have representation from a wide range of specialties at your DHB.

What we'll be discussing

Agenda items for the first round of JCC meetings include: ASMS publications Hospitals on the Edge and ‘Making up for being female’; along with Motu research on the gender pay gap in New Zealand's specialist workforce. There will also be an opportunity to discuss local issues with ASMS and DHB management. Please contact your local branch officers or your industrial officer if you have items for discussion at the pre-meeting, or at the meeting with management.
