EVENT RECAP

SPACE CADE7S Concert in Prospect Park

Hip-Hop Group Raises Money & Awareness

This is what making art in community looks like—thanks to the Hip-Hop collective, SPACE CADE7S, who hosted a concert in Prospect Park benefitting Girls Write Now. Mentees Shayla Astudillo, Swati Barua, Yaralee De La Cruz, and Sheyla Javier performed their original poetry and short stories as we distributed copies of our award-winning anthology!

Missed the concert? You can still donate to support the next generation of writers and leaders!

"Experience, knowledge, and history is what guides me."

Director of People and Culture, Daniella Olibrice

"My best career decision has been to be open, flexible, and willing to learn new things. Every job that I have taken since I left graduate school has introduced me to people and worlds that I didn't know existed before. They have also helped me to stretch and grow as a person and professional in ways that I didn't expect."
