LAKESIDE NEWS FROM THE SPIRESA NOTE FROM OUR TEAMHappy Holidays! And I am happy! Happy to be in Rome. It is a wonderful town with so many things to do, I am constantly amazed! Happy to be learning about the Berry College history and its beautiful campus. Happy to see the construction take shape into our buildings. Above all, happy to be meeting all of you. Envision the community we will have next year for our first holiday together! Imagine the friendships we will have made. Consider all the knowledge we will have gained. Think about the courage it has taken all of us to get here. Together! As a new family. Change is scary and rarely easy. Without bravery and courage, none of you would have gotten married, had children, or bought your first car! But you did. Those decisions have led to a life that has been filled with adventure, knowledge and wisdom. They travel with you no matter where you live. The blending of all these experiences together will be what makes our physical buildings grow to be a unique and interesting community. Of that I am sure and happy. So, this holiday season as you are celebrating, add a little celebration in there for yourselves as you’ve done so much already in your life and you still have so much more you can do! Laurie Steber, We hope you enjoyed watching this latest footage as much as we did! Please remember that this is now an active construction site and, for safety reasons, we've been asked to refrain from visiting the area. Video cameras are actively recording activity and trespassing on the site. We will continue to post drone footage on a regular basis to keep you informed and up to date. Talking to Adult Children About Your Future Care Bringing up the topic of your future care with adult children can be awkward and difficult for both parties. This can be hard conversations to have, but it is important to discuss end-of-life choices and other related official matters.Read this blog by our partner Brad Breeding from MyLifeSite to learn about some topics you should touch on with your children when you decide it’s time to share your thoughts about your future care.Upcoming Spires Events Wednesday, Dec. 4th 1:30 pm Senior Living expert Morgan Lamphere will discuss the pros and cons of staying home and some basic facts about retirement communities.
