NEW TIER 1 MEMBER: LATÉCOÈRE

We warmly welcome Latécoère as a new Tier 1 member. Latécoère is a leader in the field of Aerostructures and Interconnection systems and works closely with the major aircraft manufacturers and airlines, from design through to the production of its products. Alongside Latécoère’s Engineering and R&T divisions, Latécoère Czech Republic is home to the group’s Composite Center of Competence.

PhD DEFENSE ON TAILORED BLANKS

On March 8, 2019, researcher Tjitse Slange successfully defended his PhD thesis in the field of Rapid Consolidation of Tailored Thermoplastic Composites by Automated Lay-up and Stamp Forming. 

20TH TECHNICAL ADVISORY BOARD MEETING

Last month we welcomed our partners during the Technical Advisory Board 2019. During the two-day international conference more than 70 global experts met to discuss the research program focusing on the promising opportunities of advanced thermoplastic materials and processes and to help boost the industry! 

SAMPE BENELUX STUDENT AWARD 2019

Last week during the SAMPE Benelux Spring Meeting, Yannick Buser (Research Engineer of TPRC) received the SAMPE Benelux Student Award for his master thesis work on “Squeeze Flow of Unidirectional Thermoplastic Composite Flakes”. 
As a winning student, Yannick has now been given the opportunity to represent the Benelux chapter at the SAMPE Europe 2019 International Students’ Seminar in Nantes.
