Last day for 85,000 CRO cards

85,000 CRO cards expire at the end of this month. If you occupation is construction related, you will need to obtain an alternative card to remain part of CSCS. Cold calling security notice

The Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) is urging employers to be vigilant when dealing with cold calls claiming to be CSCS. CSCS has received a number of reports from employers confirming that they are receiving calls from people claiming to be employed by CSCS or CITB. Read more

ECS for electricians only

The application criteria for the ECS Labourer Card is being amended to reinforce the fact that only those working in the electrotechnical industry are eligible for the card. From 1st October, applicants for the ECS Labourer Card will have to prove that they are employed by an electrical or electrotechnical employer. Read more

The SICCS card is now virtual

The National Association of Shopfitters & Interior Contractors (NAS) is delighted to announce the launch of its new Virtual SICCS Smartcard - a digital card that is stored in an app called Vircarda on a smartphone -  developed by Reference Point for the CSCS Go Smart platform. Read more
