        Good news stories My Health Record at Canterbury Hospital Residential Aged Care Facility CollaborativeWe’ve seen an increased usage and adoption from healthcare providers, as well as a considerable increase in requests from those who are eager to learn more about the system. The My Health Record Expansion team has been visiting general practices, allied health professionals and pharmacies to ensure providers have the knowledge and resources they need to make use of the numerous benefits the system offers, including improvements in patient outcomes and avoided duplication of services.         My Health Record workshopsTo date, CESPHN has held several workshops to ensure healthcare providers are My Health Record ready:
 Three workshop for medical specialists at St George Private Hospital and Prince Wales Private HospitalsThree workshops for general practices in Mascot, Canada Bay and Canterbury andTwo workshops for pharmacists and allied health in Hurstville and Canada Bay. 
 Our presenters are professional educators who are knowledgeable and engaging, include live demonstrations and generate interactive conversation for those in attendance.  Topics covered have included: When a medical specialist should use the My Health Record systemScenarios on uploading a shared health summary vs. an event summary for general practitionersQuality improvement within your practice and the tools available for improvementsPrivacy and security features of the My Health Record system

        New resources My Health Record 101 – Demonstration WebinarsCESPHN has produced short video webinars on how to view, upload and share Shared Health Summaries using Best Practice, Medical Director and Genie. These are now available under our section ‘Resources for GPs’ found on this page of our website.

        Education resources My Health Record for DentistryThis national webinar was held for dentists, oral health and dental practice staff. The webinar explained the benefits and functionality of My Health Record for dental practices as well providing advice on how to register your organisation.
