15,460 healthcare professional organisations are connected, including GP organisations, hospitals, pharmacies and aged care services.

32 million medication prescription and dispense records have been uploaded

Influenza season
The current influenza (flu) vaccination season offers an opportunity for GP practices, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Service providers and Pharmacies to engage with their patient’s My Health Record.

Good news stories

My Health Record at Canterbury Hospital Residential Aged Care Facility Collaborative
We’ve seen an increased usage and adoption from healthcare providers, as well as a considerable increase in requests from those who are eager to learn more about the system. The My Health Record Expansion team has been visiting general practices, allied health professionals and pharmacies to ensure providers have the knowledge and resources they need to make use of the numerous benefits the system offers, including improvements in patient outcomes and avoided duplication of services. Sara Matin, CESPHN Pharmacy engagement officer for My Health Record, giving a presentation on ‘How to make my Health Record work within your age care facility ‘at Canterbury hospital on 4 April. Sara has been working with age care facilities in our region to answer any questions and to educate them on the benefits of the My Health Record system.

My Health Record workshops
To date, CESPHN has held several workshops to ensure healthcare providers are My Health Record ready:

Three workshop for medical specialists at St George Private Hospital and Prince Wales Private Hospitals
Three workshops for general practices in Mascot, Canada Bay and Canterbury and
Two workshops for pharmacists and allied health in Hurstville and Canada Bay.

Our presenters are professional educators who are knowledgeable and engaging, include live demonstrations and generate interactive conversation for those in attendance.

When a medical specialist should use the My Health Record system
Scenarios on uploading a shared health summary vs. an event summary for general practitioners
Quality improvement within your practice and the tools available for improvements
Privacy and security features of the My Health Record system

My Health Record 101 – Demonstration Webinars
CESPHN has produced short video webinars on how to view, upload and share Shared Health Summaries using Best Practice, Medical Director and Genie. These are now available under our section ‘Resources for GPs’ found on this page of our website.

Shared Health Summary vs Event Summary Factsheet
CESPHN has put together an interactive factsheet outlining what a shared health summary is, what an event summary is, the difference between the two, and when to create and upload these documents.

Webinars - New registration close off time
Education webinars will now have a registration close off time 24 hours prior to the webinar event. Please register promptly for webinars to make sure you do not miss out. No additional registrations will be accepted after the registration page has closed.

Print on Demand Service
The Print on Demand Service portal has been refreshed. This includes a 'New Products' feature located within the menu options which will list recently added items for printing.
