    1. Meet the Team. Introducing Rui Zhang 

    Rui joined the Records and Information team as our new Records and Information Analyst in August. Rui has been a records and information management professional for the past 12 years over in New Zealand. She has extensive working experience in both central and local government, as well as in the tertiary education sector. She is passionate about connecting people to information and using technologies for compliant and efficient management of information and records throughout their lifecycle.

    Rui is keen to engage with business areas across the University to help you design and implement information and records management solutions to meet business effectiveness and regulatory compliance obligations through advice, guidance, and education.

    Outside of work Rui likes to travel, explore new cuisines, and spend time with family and friends.

    Looking for Knowledge Base Articles (KBAs) in relation to Records Managed SharePoint (RMSP)?  These  can be found in ServiceNow.

    3.  Destroying Sensitive or Confidential Paper Records 

    When destroying highly sensitive or confidential paper records please use confidential destruction bins.

    The University has a contract with a provider to provide a secure destruction service for confidential material.

    4. Records Management Network  

    Its a wrap for the 2022 Records Management Network this year but we look  forward to seeing you all at our events in 2023.  In the meantime, let us know what you would like to hear about: records-info@unimelb.edu.au

    5.  Training

    As the University moves away from it’s “virtual campus” into hybrid operations, training in Records Managed SharePoint & Content Manager will be hosted over Zoom to remain accessible to all.

    18 November, 8 December
