Junior Certificate Results - Well Done!
The wait finally came to an end for Form 4 pupils last Wednesday as the results of the Junior Certificate Examinations were revealed.  Congratulations to all our pupils and staff on this wonderful set of results.  All that hard work and effort really paid off.   The smiles of relief on everyone's faces said it all. Thanks too to the Parents' Association for organising the very successful Paintball Event in the afternoon, which was a fitting way for pupils to celebrate their achievements together.

Pupils and teachers gather together at The High School to read the Junior Certificate results.

Welcoming our Argentinian Friends

Click HERE to watch a video of the Argentinian visit to The High School, Dublin.

On Thursday 10 September,  St. Gregory's College from Argentina came to visit. They were on a hockey tour around Europe.  We spent an enjoyable afternoon with them, playing games like soccer, rounders and tag rugby.  We got to know them pretty well.  Then came the musical part of the day and their choir performed for us in the Reynold's Hall.  The High School orchestra played too, conducted by our new teacher, Ms Rothwell.   We would like to thank Ms Rugg, Ms Bourke, Mr Malin, Ms Rothwell and all the other teachers and members of staff who helped make this a day to remember.

This Week's High School Dublin Hockey Hopefuls

In a stunning opener the Senior 3's showed their dominance over Mount Sackville. The team got off to the best of starts with a silky goal from Isobel Mahon within the first three minutes. This set the tone for the rest of the match with Emma Featherston blasting in a goal from a short corner. The final goal was a beautifully executed run by Sinead Dunne. There was also solid defensive work by Joy Sherwood. Onwards and upwards! Great teamwork all round! Woman of the Match: Isobel Mahon.

Final score 3-1. Next match against St. Andrews 3.30pm, home on Wednesday.  All support welcome!
