We are hitting the summer stride and still swinging out hard here at Sugar Swing. Our summer classes are coming to a close for August, but that doesn't mean the dancing is. We have our weekly social dances on all month and hope to see you out on our dance floor, whether it is inside or out.

Our fall class schedule is up with lots of classes to choose from, including new dates and times. Maybe you are not ready to think about September yet, but these classes tend to fill up so we recommend registering early.

Reminder: The Edmonton International Fringe Festival is on August 13-23 and the Ballroom is Venue #18 for six plays.  We are looking for volunteers (see information below). Our regular Sugar Foot Stomp on Saturdays will be running, but check below for our Thursday and Friday dance schedule.

As we continue to celebrate our 10th birthday, we continually thank our community for supporting this vibrant swing dance scene.

Lindy Harvest 2015

Registration opens August 9!

Year seven of Lindy Harvest presents the return of the internationally-renowned Lennart Westerlund (Sweden) and eWa Burak (USA). They will be joined by Seattle’s lovely Mark Kihara and Katie McMullen, along with Montreal’s illustrious Davis Thurber and Claudia Joyal Laplante!

We will also be featuring Lennart, eWa, Mark, and Katie for an ecclectic mix of classes during the weekdays in tap, intermediate Lindy Hop, deejay training, history presentations, vintage hair, vintage make-up, and more!

Rentals and Rehearsals

Sugar Swing Dance Club operates out of a beautiful facility in the heart of Old Strathcona. When we’re not dancing in it, this space is available for rentals and rehearsals! Our location and amenities make the place perfect for corporate functions, gatherings, dance events, concerts, and theatre events.

We have two large, sprung dance floors, tables and chairs, sound equipment, amenities, and air conditioning. We also offer very affordable, discounted rates for artists and dancers who need a place to rehearse their work. Email dance@sugarswing.com for rates and booking.
