Announcement: two new Board appointments

Dear ,

InfraCo Asia Development Pte. Ltd. (IAD) is pleased to welcome Mr John Walker as its newly appointed Chair, as of 15 January 2016, and Ms Amy Lee as a Non-Executive Director (NED) as of 1 January 2016.

JOHN WALKER APPOINTED AS CHAIR

Mr John Walker, Executive Chairman of Infrastructure, Utilities and Renewables Asia for Macquarie Capital and Chairman of Macquarie Group of Companies, Korea, steps into the role of IAD Chair following the departure of Mr Kenneth Baxter, who was appointed to the Board in January 2012, and commenced as Chair in August 2012.

“Mr Walker has a long, successful regional experience that will help expand InfraCo Asia in South East Asia and South Asia,” outgoing Chair, Mr Baxter, said.

“On behalf of the IAD Board and management team, I would like to welcome him to what will be a very challenging position. During my time as Chair, I greatly appreciated the invaluable support of the IAD directors and staff, and their unfailing commitment.” Mr Baxter said.

Mr Walker said he jumped at the opportunity to be involved with IAD and its unique mandate.

“I have seen first hand the success IAD has had in mitigating the risk associated with early stage infrastructure development in order to attract private sector participation. I look forward to contributing as the organisation pursues a range of growth opportunities,” Mr Walker said.

IAD CEO, Mr Allard Nooy said Mr Walker’s leadership will be an asset to the Board.

“Mr Walker has extensive experience in Asia with infrastructure financing and Public-Private Partnerships. Not only that, but he possesses the sort of cultural awareness which is critical to working in South and South East Asia, and has strong infrastructure development leadership experience,” Mr Nooy said.

“The passing of the baton is always an important time for any leadership team. I would like to thank our outgoing Chair, Mr Baxter, for his hard work and dedication to positioning IAD so well to continue its expansion.”

AMY LEE NEW NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Ms Amy Lee is a consultant with Singapore boutique law firm, Tan Kok Quan Partnership, where she specialises in infrastructure developments and government advisory work. Ms Lee replaces Mr Peter Bird, who stepped down at the end of 2015, having served on the Board since IAD was incorporated in 2009.

Ms Lee was formerly CEO and Director at Stewart Asia Investment Singapore Pte Ltd. Prior to joining Steward Asia Investment Pte Ltd, she was the Chief Executive Officer of Hogan Lovells’ Singapore office. Amy is also a Non-Executive Director at Clifford Capital.

Mr Nooy said Ms Lee’s appointment marks an important evolution in the IAD Board’s composition.

“Ms Lee brings excellent expertise in project financing and private equity, and has strong infrastructure transaction capabilities. She is the first Singaporean to be appointed to the Board, and the first woman. This is an important step as we focus on diversity, balance and experience.” Mr Nooy said.

“I look forward to working with a Board of such calibre,” Ms Lee said.

“I am proud to be able to work with an organisation based in Singapore, undertaking such critical work in bridging the ‘infrastructure gap’ that holds back so many of South and South East Asia’s developing regions.”

WELL POSITIONED FOR THE FUTURE

IAD CEO Mr Allard Nooy said the IAD Board’s collective experience will be invaluable as the organisation heads into a period of growth, which will include partnering with two new developers in May 2016.

“Since becoming operational in 2010, with funding commitment of US$30m, IAD now has funding commitment of approximately US$210m, and almost US$80m deployed. We are well placed to pursue the opportunities that lie ahead.” Mr Nooy said.
