Since September, the Marche has been hit by earthquakes causing damage to houses and buildings in our countryside and historic towns. This was why we had to postpone our Venice Reunion Party from November to 25th January at the Travellers Club in London. We already have a good presence of alumni coming, spread over many Venice Courses from 1965 to 2016 and several of our lecturers. There are still a few places left so please join us and bring your Venice contemporaries! www.johnhallvenice.com/news_reunion.htm The 2017 Venice Course includes, as usual, many siblings and some second-generation students, who will have just started the week in London coinciding with our reunion party. The course continues in Venice from January 29 to March 11. We look forward to seeing visiting parents. In July 2017 we are launching our 3 week Summer Course in Venice, coinciding with the Venice Biennale. The course is aimed at those not taking a gap year www.johnhallvenice.com/summer.htm . There is also the Italian Journeys Hidden Venice tour from March 12- 18 2017. Planned originally at the request of Venice Course parents, we already have the quorum enabling us to say that the tour will definitely happen, and we invite you to join our small and always congenial group www.johnhallitalianjourneys.com . In October we have our third very successful Italian Journeys ROME: Palaces and Villas of the Eternal City tour – the ultimate insiders’ view of Rome. I thank our regulars for their support and company and look forward to welcoming new faces. A HAPPY CHRISTMAS to you all! John Hall |
