Insights from Q4 ~ 1 October to 31 December 2015

Dear ,

Welcome to the latest news and insights from InfraCo Asia—applying a unique model of infrastructure development and investment across South Asia and South East Asia. Here we share highlights and progress made during the fourth quarter of 2015, as well as updates from the InfraCo Asia team and the world of infrastructure development and investments.

If you would like to find out more about collaboration and partnership opportunities with InfraCo Asia, please get in touch: info@infracoasia.com

FROM THE CEO'S DESK

The closing quarter of 2015 was busy, with a focus on all the preparations required to maintain our very positive momentum in the New Year, and indeed we have. Our January ‘special update’ edition of Insights InfraCo Asia introduced John Walker as our new Chair, and welcomed Amy Lee as a Non-Executive Director. It is wonderful to have two such experienced leaders shaping this organisation’s governance. Please do read the article about John’s passion for infrastructure and vision for InfraCo Asia, featured later in this e-news.

InfraCo Asia is currently in the middle of a comprehensive procurement process to allocate USD 90 million to two new developer service initiatives. In late 2015 we prequalified ten groups for two separate contracts in South and South East Asia. Consequently the procurement committee, chaired by Clive Turton, along with the InfraCo Asia management team, had an extremely busy past month. They reviewed approximately 100 projects and interviewed almost 100 people representing the developer teams that submitted bids.

Thanks to a disciplined approach, InfraCo Asia has maintained its original published timeline, and are on track to award five-year developer service contracts to the successful bidders by early Q2-2016, with full mobilisation expected in early May 2016.

On a team-focused note, we welcomed Benny Lee as Assistant Finance Manager in December 2015. In January this year, the growing InfraCo Asia family and their partners enjoyed a balmy New Year celebration on my rooftop terrace in Singapore—a fitting way to reflect on a year of hard work and dedication.

Thank you for reading the latest edition of Insights InfraCo Asia.
