Resolve Social Benefit Bond Investor Update December 2017 A lot has happened since the Resolve Social Benefit Bond (Resolve SBB) formally kicked off at the end of June, and we thought you might like to hear about how things are getting on. Referrals to the Resolve Program commenced as planned at the beginning of October. As at the end of November, 42 people have been enrolled into the Intervention Group, of which 38 have agreed to be referred to the program. Early indicators suggest participants are engaging positively with the program. Participants referred to the program have presented with a range of complex backgrounds, requiring various levels of community and clinical-based support. Approximately one quarter of participants have presented with drug and alcohol related issues. Flourish Australia has recruited 14 people into the Resolve team, including a Program Manager, two Centre managers and 11 peer workers. Resolve Program Manager, Christine Miniaway, says that each of the peer workers identify as having a lived experience of a mental health issue, and are therefore well placed to support and encourage participants on their recovery journey.
The team has moved into two new Resolve Centres located in Orange and Penrith, dedicated to supporting Resolve participants. The Centres are 5-bedroom residential homes, designed to encourage participants to continue to lead a normal life, whilst acting as a central hub for activity and services. The peer operated ‘warm’ line is being well utilised, alongside the outreach component of the program, with some participants requesting a home visit just for some company. Australia's first social impact investment aimed at improving mental health outcomes This launch video holds more information about how the Resolve SBB will support hundreds of people on their mental health recovery journey. We look forward to sharing more updates with you in the years to come. Please note that the first Resolve SBB Annual Report will be provided to investors in March 2019, covering the service delivery year ending 30 September 2018. Thank you for your support for a program which we believe will create life-long change for people suffering mental health issues in our community.
