DSP continues to enhance the pre-award reports available in the Division of Sponsored Programs (DSP) Portal in UI Campus Data. Two new reports are now available:

• A new My PI Profile shows a researcher their own externally funded projects.
  • In addition to a summary tab, the List of Grants & Contracts tab shows projects in an Active & Pending support view.
  • No extra permissions are required for members of the UI campus community to access this report with their own pre-award data.
  • Faculty will see projects for which they are a PI, Co-Investigator, or other Key Personnel as listed on a DSP Proposal Routing Form.

• Research administrators can also access Active & Pending reports for PI’s.
  • The Active & Pending Support Documentation allows research administrators to search and select a researcher and see that person’s active and pending projects.
  • This report requires elevated access obtained via a workflow form with approvals from the requestor’s supervisor, collegiate research administrator, and the DSP team, in addition to a business justification to access the data.
  • If you do not currently have access to the suite of pre-award reports in the DSP Portal in Campus Data, simply click on the Active & Pending Support Documentation link and you’ll be prompted to request access via the workflow form.
  • You do not need to request access to each report separately; once you have access to the Active & Pending report, you’ll have access to the other reports in the DSP Portal as well.

Please note that healthcare users must use their IOWA domain account (see FAQ for more information - you may need to be logged in to view the FAQ) for accessing reporting in Campus Data. For a full listing of DSP reporting available, please see the DSP Portal in Campus Data.

It is the principal investigator's responsibility to verify that other support (also referred to as current and pending support) information is accurate and complete prior to submission to funding sponsors. The information in the DSP portal represents a snapshot of data. The PI may be required to report additional information based on funding sponsor policies.
