Come join the party

Soooooo... get your diary out and start cleaning up those dance shoes because Footwork is about to hold it’s first dance party for 2015. 

Yeah, we know, the year’s nearly over. What can we say – the calendar’s been stupidly busy this year!

The party will be on Saturday, 17 October. That’s the weekend before the NZ Open Dance Championship (aka Nationals) – just to get you in the mood for an amazing weekend of dance.

Bring your friends! Everyone’s welcome.

NZ Open Dance Championships

Lots of you have volunteered to help out at this event, and others will be dancing. If you’re not doing either of those things then don’t forget to get tickets.

Being held for the first time in the Waikato, this premier dance event is a wonderful opportunity to see national and overseas ballroom, new vogue and Latin dancers right in your own backyard.

This year’s event will also celebrate 65 years of champions with a spectacular Sunday night showcase featuring past champions and the sport’s younger dancers. 

Meeting for volunteers

If you are helping out at Nationals, don’t forget about the meeting for volunteers on Saturday, 27 September. It’s being held at the main studio (50 Commerce Street) and will start at 2.30pm.
 
 

Medals in November

Just a reminder that our second medal test for the year will be Saturday, 14 November. Entry forms will be available at both studios from Monday.

Just finally...

The Auckland branch of the New Zealand Federation of Dance Teachers is holding a comp in the school hall at Hamilton Boys’ High School on Saturday, 3 October.
