Cuningar Loop Woodland Park
The woodland park at Cuningar Loop is now open every day.
Remember to take your bike to try out the cycling facilities. There are three bicycle tracks: balance bike, pump and skill building.
In addition to the bike skills area the park features:

A riverside boardwalk
There is also a cafe and temporary toilet facilities. Find the park off Downiebrae Road, not far from our Bike Shop in a Box. The nearest postcode is G73 1PW.

We Walk, We Cycle, We Vote is a campaign to transform Scotland into a healthier, wealthier, happier country. The campain is a co-operative effort of cycling and walking organisations, including Bike Town
All candidates in the forthcoming Holyrood election are being asked if they will support the following three promises which the campaign believes will bring about a transformation of the lives of people living in Scotland:
Investment: Provide sustained, long term investment in both cycling and walking, reaching 10% of the transport budget
Infrastructure: Build and maintain dedicated cycling infrastructure, enabling people aged 8-80 to cycle
Safety: Promote and deliver safer roads for both walking and cycling.

Pedal on Parliament
This grass roots campaign of cyclists advocating for a cycle-friendly Scotland have their annual event at noon on Saturday 23rd April.
Gather at the Meadows in Edinburgh for the mass ride on Holyrood, starting at 12 noon.
There are a number of feeder rides from various locations in Scotland, including the West Coast Velo ride from Glasgow

The Big Pedal 2016
The Big Pedal is on this month from 18th - 29th April.
There is still time for schools to register for the annual inter-school cycling and scooting challenge organised by Sustrans.

Rutherglen community group seeks volunteers
Overtoun Community Growing Project are a community growing group in Rutherglen who have recently adopted Rutherglen train station.
They are looking for people who want to make a difference within their community, or be part of a group of volunteers who want to do things together, like planting, painting planters, making containers to grow things in, etc.
You don’t have to have green fingers to join. They want keen people of all ages who fancy coming along for a bit of fun and to get busy making the train station look a little more colourful.
