Sixteen magazine publishing professionals responded to the survey. The responses confirm that no one is escaping unscathed from the pandemic. Its impact is being felt in various ways. As expected, publishers are experiencing a hit to advertising revenue. More than 87 percent of respondents say they experienced a reduction in advertising spend. 2021 Charlie Awards Dates AnnouncedIt’s that time again! The FMA is pleased to announce that entries in the 2021 Charlie Awards will be accepted from January 4, 2021 through March 1, 2021. Details are being finalized now and will be sent to members in the coming weeks. Award winners will be announced at a dinner gala on the evening of July 16th during the 2021 Florida Media Conference held at The Westin Sarasota. This webinar will be free of charge for all that wish to attend. 2021 Doug Damerst Scholarship Now Open for ApplicationsFlorida-based college students are eligible to win the prestigious Doug Damerst Award. The $1,000 cash prize, named in honor of the Florida Magazine Association’s longtime board member Doug Damerst, represents excellence in journalism and the highest levels of ethics.
