Modern Art Oxford is
reopening on 11 August

We look forward to welcoming you back

Modern Art Oxford is reopening on 11 August and we can't wait to welcome you back to the gallery. We have extended our spring exhibition Johanna Unzueta: Tools for Life for a limited two week run.

We have been working hard to ensure that everyone has a safe and rewarding visit. As such, all visitors now need to book a free ticket in advance of visiting to help us manage the number of people in the gallery and limit queuing.

The gallery will close again from 24 August to get our spaces ready for our new autumn exhibition Mariana Castillo Deball: Between Making and Knowing Something which will open on 2 October.

How we're keeping you safe

To ensure the wellbeing of our staff and so that all our visitors can have a safe and rewarding experience, we have put additional measures in place for when we reopen. These include:

- Limited opening hours - we are now open between 11am - 4pm, Tuesday to Sunday. We are not open on Mondays

- Ticketing - please book a ticket in advance of your visit - we have set up 30 minute arrival slots throughout each day. Please arrive within your allotted time slot. You are then welcome to stay as long as you like, or until the gallery closes at 4pm

- Face coverings - we encourage you to wear a face covering in the gallery for the safety of other visitors and staff. According to UK law, you must wear a face covering if you would like to visit our shop

- A one-way system - please enter the gallery via the Pembroke St entrance and exit via St Ebbe’s Street

- Social distancing - we are limiting the number of visitors to the gallery so that you can maintain social distancing during your visit

- Additional cleaning - we will be cleaning all major touch points throughout the day

- Hand-sanitising stations - you will be encouraged to regularly wash your hands and use our additional hand-sanitising stations throughout the building

If you have any questions about our reopening measures, we would love to hear from you: info@modernartoxford.org.uk
