The stories we tell about ourselves have the power to change the world. In this contest, we asked mentees for a personal story about a significant—though possibly hidden—part of their lives. Each week, we publish one of the essays that received an honorable mention from the Scholastic panel of judges, culminating in the announcement of the winning essay, which will be published in Choices magazine!
