Click here Your Life Matters: Drive Like It![]() ![]() GUY employees support Oklahoma highway workers Karst feature at Bridge 149 over Hickory Creek![]() Construction is underway at Bridge 149 over Hickory Creek in Ottawa County. Let in October 2016, the new 64 ft precast arch span bridge replaces a structurally deficient bridge dating back to 1939. The Karst feature near Hickory Creek is a natural spring that also provides habitat for endangered species. During construction, the contractor discovered during excavation that this Karst feature extended to an area under the east abutment. GUY responded quickly and, working with ConTech Solutions, provided an alternative footing design within weeks. USFWS is currently reviewing this alternative, and the construction should restart soon. ![]() ![]() New surveyor in the house!GUY welcomes Matthew Dawson to our work family!
