The Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) is reminding industry to be prepared for the withdrawal of the Construction Related Occupation (CRO) card. CSCS will stop issuing CRO cards from 31st March 2017. In many cases CRO card holders will be required to register for existing or newly developed qualifications before their CRO cards expire. CSCS are encouraging cardholders to bring their cards to work on 8th February for the nation-wide SmartCard Audit. Build UK and the Civil Engineering Contractors Association are leading the way to a safer industry by carrying out a CSCS SmartCard audit across member construction sites on Wednesday 8 February 2017. CSCS are pleased to confirm that the British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) members are now eligible for a CSCS Professionally Qualified Person (PQP) card. BIFM Member, Certified and Fellow grades can apply for the CSCS Professionally Qualified Person (PQP) card. Read more
