CRO card withdrawal

The Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) is reminding industry to be prepared for the withdrawal of the Construction Related Occupation (CRO) card. CSCS will stop issuing CRO cards from 31st March 2017. In many cases CRO card holders will be required to register for existing or newly developed qualifications before their CRO cards expire. Bring your card to work - 8th February

CSCS are encouraging cardholders to bring their cards to work on 8th February for the nation-wide SmartCard Audit. Build UK and the Civil Engineering Contractors Association are leading the way to a safer industry by carrying out a CSCS SmartCard audit across member construction sites on Wednesday 8 February 2017. 2016 was another eventful and productive year for CSCS. This year looks set to be just as busy as we move closer to achieving a fully qualified workforce. Open Doors

The Open Doors event takes place this year from 27th March to 1st April. Build UK members are once more opening up their construction sites to showcase the huge variety of careers available in the industry, allowing people to experience the buzz and excitement of a working construction site. BFIM recognised for PQP cards

CSCS are pleased to confirm that the British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) members are now eligible for a CSCS Professionally Qualified Person (PQP) card. BIFM Member, Certified and Fellow grades can apply for the CSCS Professionally Qualified Person (PQP) card. Read more
