State Provides $3.8 Million to Support Improved Regional Bus Stop Signage

Bus stop signs throughout the Atlanta region are set for a major upgrade. Gov. Nathan Deal announced $75 million in GO! Transit bond funds to support transit projects around the state. ARC will receive $3.8 million to enable regional transit providers to install improved bus stop signs in metro Atlanta.

Don't Blow it! The winner of the Metro Water District's High School Video Contest is Anna Caldwell from DeKalb School of the Arts. Congratulations Anna! Contest entries from creative high school students throughout the region can be viewed on the District's YouTube Channel
    
ARC's board approved a new bicycle and pedestrian plan in May. Walk Bike Thrive! aims to make bicycling and walking safe, healthy, fun and normal activities across the region.

ARC has been selected to conduct a Proof of Concept Pilot, Reliability in Simulation and Planning Models, under Round 7 of the Strategic Highway Research Program (SHRP2) Implementation Assistance Program!

The next meeting of the ARC board will be July 27 at 1 p.m. at the Atlanta Regional Commission, 40 Courtland St. NE, Atlanta.

The ARC Board meets at 1 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of the month, January through October, and the first Wednesday of December. Agendas and minutes of each meeting are available online.
