Breakfast is on the House!

We are proud to have partnered with super healthy eatery, Devil's Isle. Featuring a seasonally-inspired, inventive menu bringing local, farm-fresh ingredients directly to the table with minimal processing to preserve the integrity and nutritional value. Your new breakfast experience will feature organic eggs, free range meats and local fruits and vegetables. They roast their own coffee and bake their own breads using organic stone ground flours. 

Lauren's Family Recipes 

If you have joined us for our daily afternoon tea in our main house you may have tried Lauren's Butter Cookies & Banana Bread. Lauren works at the reception desk most weekend and has kindly shared her recipes with us. Visit our website for the recipes. Find them at the bottom of the home page.

Banana Bread

2 cups mashed bananas, 1 cup of crushed pineapple with juice, 1 ½ cups of corn oil, 2 cups of sugar, 2 tsp vanilla, 3 eggs, 3 cups flour, 1 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp baking soda P

reheat oven to 375 degrees F

Place all ingredients into mixing bowl. Mix on low speed until all dry ingredients are incorporated. Pour into greased and floured loaf pans.

Bake until inserted knife comes out dry.

Recent Room & Property Upgrades

This year we upgraded the bathrooms and closet areas within the 70's. (Deluxe Rooms) These rooms feature new Kohler fixtures & furniture, marble tile and counter tops, rain showers, custom designed closets and new safes large enough to hold a a laptop. The rooms have also received new drapery and bed linens. Additionally we replaced all the windows in the main house as well as continued to update our landscape lighting with LED fixtures.

Rosedon Hotel is now seriously GREEN!

Rosedon Hotel proudly announced it has been accepted as a Silver level GreenLeader into the TripAdvisor® GreenLeaders™ program, which helps travelers around the world plan greener trips by highlighting hotels engaging in environmentally-friendly practices.

We are committed to being environmentally conscious. and to utilizing sustainable practices wherever possible. Some of our initiatives to date include Solar Hot water panels, LED lighting and in room recycling bins.

We have also recently introduced: Water on the House! One litre of triple filtered fresh water is supplied to your room daily and can be refilled for free; this program is estimated to remove over 15,000 plastic bottles annually from our waste stream! 

We also recently introduced Green Bath Products in Bulk dispensers; featuring high end bath products including Body Wash, Shampoo, Conditioner & Body Lotion. All of these are ‘Green Formulated’; they are paraben- free, do not contain synthetic colors or fragrances nor surfactants sodium laureate (SSL) or sodium laurel sulfate. The glycerin soap bar is packaged in post consumer wrapping and is printed with soy based ink. This new program dramatically improves our amenity offering, significantly reduces wastage and is estimated to remove over 20,000 plastic bottles annually.
