Alumnae Rally to Support Spalding with Hawaiian Trip 

As coach, mentor, and friend, Sharon Spalding has forged lasting relationships with Mary Baldwin students across decades. When the athletics director revealed last year that she was facing a third cancer diagnosis, nearly 60 of those former students rallied to fund an all-expenses paid trip to Hawaii for Spalding and her husband.  Read more >>

 

Save the Date: 175th Anniversary Events 

We're marking a major milestone in 2016–17 — our quartoseptcentennial, the 175th anniversary of our founding in 1842 — and we want you to be a part of the celebration. Mark your calendars now for the first two of many events we will hold that pay homage to the people who have made and continue to make Mary Baldwin exceptional.

August 31: MBU Launch  The official kick-off of our 175th anniversary year will be a community-wide event on the date we officially become Mary Baldwin University. 

April 20–23, 2017: All-Alumni Homecoming — This special event will include alumni from all classes and programs, not just those in Reunion years. Plan to bring your family! 

 

Alumnae to Hold Education Conference 

A group of Mary Baldwin alumnae are joining forces to host an education symposium for students and recent alumni on campus February 26–27 to provide assistance to pre-service teachers at MBC that may be helpful as they enter the classroomRead more >> 

 

Alumna Publishes Research on Drug's Interaction with the Brain 

As a scholar and student leader, Krittika Krishnan ’12 certainly made her mark on Mary Baldwin as the first international student and first student in the Program for the Exceptionally gifted elected Student Government Association president. Now she continues to put the research and leadership skills honed at MBC to work in graduate school, where she served on a team at the University of Texas looking at hormonal interactions and drug abuse.  Read more >>

 

Siboni '10 Joins NASA as Presidential Management Fellow  

Assisting with outreach activities is one of Ruth Siboni’s favorite responsibilities in her role working on NASA’s pioneering GeneLab project — which coordinates and provides an online platform for sharing cutting-edge biology experiments on the International Space Station. Read more >>
