BIG WIN FOR SPORT AND RECREATION

Mitchell Shire Council is kicking goals having secured much-needed State Government funding to deliver recreational facilities in Kilmore and Beveridge.

Kilmore’s JJ Clancy Reserve is set for a $3.8 million makeover which will include an integrated community facility, new play space and the relocation of the little athletics field facilities.

The Beveridge Recreation Reserve will become a popular destination with $1.3 million of improvements on the way. There will be a new circuit pathway complete with a bridge over wetlands, outdoor fitness stations, a new play space plus the reconstruction of two lit tennis/netball courts.

Pictured: Member for Yan Yean Danielle Green and Mitchell Shire’s Cr Bob Cornish were on site at Beveridge Recreation Reserve yesterday to discuss the plans for the site.
