Sedbergh Wins Supporting International Boarders Award

Sedbergh School has a proud history of welcoming international pupils. So, we are delighted to announce that we have won the Boarding Schools' Association (BSA) Award for Supporting International Boarders.

The award recognises the excellence of the welcome that we extend to our international pupils to ensure that every stage of children’s transition to Sedbergh is as seamless and exciting as possible. From transition, to settling in, to thriving whilst here - we support every step.

Our welcome is founded in Sedbergh’s values of Humility, Ambition, Resilience and Kindness. Through HUMILITY we place ourselves in pupil’s shoes to recognise what the pupil could be experiencing. That enables us to react with KINDNESS to the pupil’s concerns whilst embedding the AMBITION and RESILIENCE that characterises our pupils – and staff.

When we say that no detail is too small - we mean it.

Academic Societies: School of Athens

Meeting every week during term time, the School of Athens is one of the School’s most active academic societies. Following in the philosophical footsteps of ancient Athens, the pupils attending this week’s School of Athens were challenged by Year 12 pupil Jack to consider, 'Humans vs Robots: Who Deserves the Job?'

To help our girls develop Sedbergh is delighted to introduce a new member of our coaching staff, Arathy Jayapal. A talented cricketer herself, Arathy loves our world-class facilities and is delighted to be helping our players improve! Arathy explains her goals for the girl's cricket team in this interview.
