In this edition of Defence Week, Senior Correspondent Julian Kerr covers RAN's upcoming second attempt to load M1A1 Abrams tanks onto the Canberra class' LHC Landing Crafts. Currently, the two Mexeflote landing rafts on HMAS Choules are the only means of amphibiously transporting an Abrams from ship to shore.

We also cover the UK’s choice of General Atomic’s Predator drone in light of the competition for Air 7003, ASPI’s new report into Australia’s offensive cyber capabilities, this week’s Australian Cyber Security Conference, Army’s forward movements on small UAS, international law covering conflicts in outer space, and more.

Finally, a reminder that nominations for ADM's Women in Defence Awards close at 4 pm tomorrow, Friday 13th April. The nomination form is available here and please feel free to contact Jess Havard (02 9281 8788 or jessica@twodefroce.com.au) if you have any questions about the awards.
