One case was acquired interstate and the other overseas. It is now 11 days since there has been any community transmission in NSW. Co-designing better care – physical health of mental health consumers UNSW and CESPHN are seeking general practitioners and practice nurses to be part of a co-design research process to improve the effectiveness of physical health consultations with mental health consumers. This is an opportunity to develop a solution by combining professional and lived expertise. National Community Connector Program The National Community Connector Program supports people with disability from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) Communities to navigate the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). SPARC: A new mental health respite service A new mental health respite service is available for people who live or work in the CESPHN region who would benefit from a short stay for rest and respite from mental health distress and situational crisis. Mental Health Community Pharmacy Program The NSW Government is working with the Pharmacy Guild of Australia NSW Branch to improve confidence and upskill pharmacists and pharmacy support staff in responding to, and assisting people with mental health conditions in their community. New emergency relief support for vulnerable temporary visa holders CORE Community Services have received funding through Multicultural NSW’s Vulnerable Temporary Visa Holders Grants Program. CESPHN’s Aboriginal Health and wellbeing team is seeking to identify allied health professionals who are able to to bulk bill Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients. We are asking if allied health professionals can take a moment to answer two questions.
EOI: GPs to attend SESLHD diabetes workshop South Eastern Sydney Local Health District is holding a two hour workshop on 10 November to improve care for people with diabetes. CESPHN would like to identify at least two GPs to attend. This workshop is your opportunity to be involved in strengthening pathways in primary care for patients with diabetes. GPs with a strong interest in diabetes are invited to attend the workshop. CESPHN will reimburse the GPs who attend.
