DHC website domain and email update

As we have shared recently, Destination Hauraki Coromandel (DHC) has experienced — and continues to experience — a serious infringement of its digital assets. This issue relates specifically to the domain thecoromandel dot com. As a result, the cloned website at that domain is currently not under DHC’s control.
Please note: DHC is not responsible for the loss of this domain.

Moving Forward

We are pleased to announce that we have secured a new domain — thecoromandel.nz — which is now the permanent and official website for Hauraki Coromandel.

When you visit the site, it will look the same as what previously appeared on the former domain. This is because, while the domain was compromised and lost, our content remained secure. This has allowed us to restore the website and return to operation in a relatively short time frame.

That said, we must acknowledge the many years of search engine optimisation (SEO) invested in the former domain, which means we now face the challenge of rebuilding our site's visibility and performance within Google's ecosystem.
