Learn one platform at a time

To maximize your social media marketing requires having a solid presence on multiple platforms; having strong Facebook and Google+ accounts is better than just a Facebook business page. When you have a variety of accounts, you can reach more people and are able to work in different mediums. However, you shouldn’t try to learn them all at once.

Choose one platform to start with and learn everything about it. Focus on getting every aspect of this account superb. Make sure that it is well organized and up-and-running smoothly. After this is accomplished, then move on to the next platform.

This may seem counterproductive to the agent or broker hoping to quickly get into the game and boosting performance. However, confusing yourself with different terms and processes with only lead to complications, delays, and less impressive profiles. Going one at a time will actually save you time and make a better product in the long run.

Twitter: The 2-1-1 Rule

No one wants to be the self-absorbed promoter, right? This is fairly simple to avoid on a personal account, but it can be trickier to accomplish on business pages. How can you guarantee this won’t plague your business page? Try the 2-1-1 Rule:

For every two tweets you post about yourself or your business, make sure you retweet once and reply to others at least once. This will ensure your community feels validated, and you will position yourself as someone who cares.

Learn from the Pros: Know what’s appealing

No one cares about sharing your next promotion. Agents that get more exposure on social networks do so because they're offering valuable content and resources that people actually want to share.

Make a point to put out posts and messages that you yourself would share if you were the one seeing them for the first time. Make content fresh and inviting, with unique topics and great visual appeal.

Show you care about your clients.

You show you care in person. Now is the time to show you care about your clients on your business page too.

Take pictures of how you welcome new homeowners on possession day. Some agents have had a lot of success with posting photos of them simply holding the set of keys in their hands or hugging the client. The posts are visually appealing, and subtle..
