Feel-Good Stories of the Week

Eight runners from the Belleville Running Club recently took on a challenge to run at least 1 mile each hour for 24 consecutive hours and sought out sponsorships in the form of at least $10 in donations to a local food pantry or a purchase of a gift card to a local business for each hour they ran.

Wednesday evening CREHAN'S Irish Pub & Banquet Facility donated food to Memorial Hospital Belleville's fourth floor healthcare workers caring for the Covid-19 patients.

Feed the Need – Metro East, in coordination with Abe’s Gourmet Popcorn and Lincoln Theatre donated 100 bags of assorted flavored popcorn to the Belleville Police Department.

Rising Stars Monogram Boutique is making and selling shirts and proceeds will go to local businesses and charities in need.

To protect girls and communities in the wake of COVID-19, the Girl Scouts have suspended door-to-door sales and cookie booths this season.

BUT you can still buy your favorite cookies online and have them shipped to your door—or donate cookies and they'll distribute them safely to local first responders, volunteers, and local causes in need.
