Grace Under Pressure - Verbatim theatre project about the workplace and training culture of doctors and nurses
Grace Under Pressure is a verbatim theatre project about the workplace and training culture of doctors and nurses. Acclaimed verbatim theatre makers David Williams and Paul Dwyer, in collaboration with the Sydney Arts and Health Collective, have developed Grace Under Pressure from interviews with doctors and nurses at various stages of their careers. This production opens a critical space for conversation about workplace culture. It is particularly relevant for junior staff, their teachers and those with leadership and policy influence. It is at times hilarious, at times tragic and always compelling. Click here to view the flyer for more information.

- it will be an offence (with a penalty of 50 penalty units) for a principal to fail to comply with the child care vaccination enrolment requirements
- it will be an offence (with a penalty of 50 penalty units) for a person to forge or falsify a vaccination certificate.

GPs working in both privately owned and corporate practices wanted, to participate in PhD research interviews on the topic of Medicare claiming and compliance - Study title
- Claiming and compliance under the Medicare Benefits Schedule: A critical examination of medical practitioner experiences, perceptions, attitudes and knowledge.
- Study aims - To provide the first critical examination of the experiences and perceptions of medical practitioners as they interact with Medicare and claim MBS reimbursements, and to identify perceived barriers to compliance and explore possible solutions to problems and deficiencies identified by participants.
- Themes to be explored include - What are the experiences of medical practitioners in relation to MBS claiming and how do they manage, research and investigate those obligations in daily practice? Where do medical practitioners access support and advice in relation to their Medicare claiming and compliance obligations and how do they rate the quality of that support and advice? Do medical practitioners feel pressured to claim? If so, what is the nature of that pressure and how do they manage it on a day to day basis?
- How
long will it take? About an hour, although some interviews have gone longer because the participants had a lot to share, which was wonderful. It’s completely driven by you, and the researcher will come to you at your convenient time with cake!
- To find out more - Please contact Val Bramah on valbramah@hotmail.com or email the researcher, Margaret Faux on margaret.a.faux@student.uts.edu.au.
