Click here Perth's Ragdoll share their heaviest and most melodic single yet with 'Rust' “Merges the swagger of the Seventies, the anthemic melodies of the mid-Eighties and the sonic intensity of modern times.” Classic Rock Magazine After releasing their much lauded debut album Back To Zero in 2016, Perth rockers Ragdoll are back with their new single Rust, a direct and potent slab of hard rock with a sound that owes as much to the arena rock of the 70's and 80's as it does the grungy sounds of the 90’s. Led by the powerhouse vocals of Ryan Rafferty and backed by the shredding guitars of Leon Todd and pounding drum grooves of Cam Barrett, Rust was recorded at Perth’s newest studio, Hammerspace with long time producer Troy Nababan. Todd elaborates, “Rust is simultaneously heavier and more melodic than anything we’ve written before. Working out of Hammerspace has resulted in the most complete performances we’ve ever recorded.” Touching upon the lyrics of Rust, Rafferty explains “It’s about a time where the commodity of hate is given away instead of being harnessed and used to its full potential. Chaos through abandon - order through discernment. Hate the things that’ll make you better for it.” Renowned as one of the hardest working bands around, Ragdoll have barely stopped since hitting the road in 2015, playing countless shows throughout Australia, USA and Europe, including slots at the Rocklahoma festival and supporting Skid Row at the famed Whisky a Go Go. With more new material on the way, Rafferty says of what continues to drive the band, "We feel like Ragdoll is a band that happily bridges the divide between old and new school while still staying true to the aesthetics that made rock music so great in the first place."
