The Town of Caledon has won two awards of Excellence in Planning from the Ontario Professional Planners Institute. The Caledon East Community Improvement Plan: an Innovative Tool to Promote Healthy Lifestyles, prepared in collaboration with the Town of Caledon, MMM Group Limited and Region of Peel Public Health won in the categories of “Municipal Statutory Planning Studies, Reports and Documents”, and “OPPI and Heart & Stroke Foundation’s Healthy Communities Award”.

On Tuesday, November 4, Mayor Allan Thompson and other members of the Golden Horseshoe Food and Farming Alliance met with Ontario MPPs and Ministers to advance the conversation on food and farming, and in particular the Golden Horseshoe Food and Farming Alliance's Action Plan for the sector.
