Good morning, everyone! It's JULY, and I hope you're all fully recovered from the long July 4th weekend. Right now we're up in the Catskill Mountains of New York, doing our best to social distance, which meant that our annual neighborhood BBQ was canceled, and we skipped the informal FIRING OF THE ROCKETS! OK, OK, they're not rockets, but they are some pretty cool fireworks that the neighbors get and fire over the lake. We decided to stay indoors, away from everyone, and enjoy some OOOHHHS and AHHHS from the safety of our home. Since we're an AZ family, it's pretty impressive what our neighbors fire off!
In Arizona, bottle rockets, roman candles, and mortars are very illegal. In New York, most of those are also illegal, but we're 30 minutes from the
Pennsylvania border where it seems almost every firework is LEGAL, so our neighbors bring over "the good stuff." We got to see some cool fireworks, no injuries were reported, so I'd say it was a success! I mention the "no injuries thing" because one of the neighbors is a "retired" EMT from New York City. He moved up here with his wife two years ago and is now a volunteer with the local EMS. When I took the kids for a dip in the lake Sunday, he said it was a VERY busy July 4th with all the campers along the Delaware River. Lots of drunk campers making poor decisions but the locals here stayed healthy.
Well, since we're up here in the mountains, it's about time for me to close my laptop, and head on a walk with my beautiful bride. It's 86 degrees, which is pure heaven for us folks from
Arizona, where it's 111 today!
On to more lawsuit and settlement updates!
That's all for now! Make it a GREAT week!
Warm Regards,
