STARS Citywide Girls Initiative

STARS is a Verb: Self-Care Celebration Week

Week of March 13, In-Person

We kicked off #GirlsWriteNowDay on March 8th with the STARS Leadership breakfast. Next up—self-care celebration week, where STARS has partnered with Nike to bring participants 6 days of advocacy, creation, and leadership.

From March 13-18, participants will engage in a host of self-care activities, from charcuterie board-making to trap yoga to a youth town hall with city council members. STARS is a coalition of 10 nonprofits serving girls and gender-expansive youth across New York City in leadership, arts, sports, and more. These events count towards attendance requirements for Girls Write Now mentees.

Open to all Girls Write Now mentees and teens from any STARS partner organizations.
