Classes start September 12! We've got beginner through advanced swing, balboa, tap, blues, solo jazz, and conditioning for dancers, with classes on Sundays too! Plus, Lindy Harvest registration will open soon and this is an event you will not want to miss!

Upcoming Classes
Class Packages
Our classes are offered in a 4-week series, or a 12-week package. The 12-week package offers more than $30 savings and will provide a well rounded base for each level or style. Below are the 4-week series; however, the full 12-week packages are available on our website. When registering, simply pick the 12-week class package to get the best deal and continuous skill building opportunity!
Repeat-a-class offering
Perhaps you've noticed some people take a class twice? You may reserve a spot in any class you've taken before for a 50% discount. Excludes Lindy Hop 3, and each class has a one-year expiry.

Updates and tidbits
New Instructor!
Our newest instructor is coming straight from Montreal! Meet Turlough Myers, our Sugar Swing intern. You can catch him teaching, dancing with Mad Cat, running dances, and generally tearing up the floor at the Sugar Foot Stomp! Make sure you introduce yourself and welcome Turlough into the awesome Edmonton dance community!
New Classes!
As seen above we have some new classes coming this fall, including classes on Sundays, a drop-in balboa power hour, conditioning for dancers, and a 12-week package for Sweetheart Swing!
In addition, we are continuing with Solo Jazz and Tap classes. These classes are great supplements to the partnering classes and offer a wider range of steps and rhythms.
Fringe Festival
The Edmonton International Fringe Festival is happening August 14-24, and again we are hosting as a BYOV (Bring Your Own Venue). We have two fabulous shows coming to perform in our space, with themed beverages provided by Amandine and Amber, and we hope that you check out the festival (Strathcona area and beyond). The two shows are: Under the Mango Tree by RA RA WAI PRODUCTIONS and Allegheny BC (a Stupid Boy in an Ugly Town) by Tonic Records.
Dances will still happen as per the schedule above and on Facebook! Check in advance for outdoor dances or change of location (ie. Hawrelak Park).
Building Update
Just a quick building update - our landlord C3 Chruch sold the building and new owners have taken over. The Sugar Foot Ballroom will stay in its current location (10545 81 Ave) until the mid/end of December as we arrange a new venue. When we know more, so will you! Thank you for all of your support and patience in this upcoming transition.
Bookings
Mad Cat Swing - This swing dance performance group usually sends out 2, 4, or 6+ dancers to entertain or teach people at both private and public events, such as continuing care centres, schools, corporate events, birthdays, weddings, and festivals. You name it!
Private Lessons - Krystal, Julie, Gary, and Birkley regularly offer private lessons from beginner to advanced levels, either in their home studios or at the ballroom. Contact them for yours!
Rentals - The Sugar Foot Ballroom is available to rentals! It is also available for very-affordable rehearsal bookings in the $8-$18/hr range. Check out
