Tip #5 Edit ruthlesslyGood editing ensures your writing includes relevant content, in the right order, written as clearly as possible. Most writers spend more time editing than they do writing, and many cut half or more of their first draft. Effective editing depends on your ability to see your writing with fresh eyes. An important strategy is to allow time between writing and your submission deadline. Also, try changing the look of your document by printing it or changing the font style, colour or size. Finally, when editing, make sure you read every word!
