Draft Tourism Environment Action Plan

  Read the Draft Plan and a one-page summary here.

This Action Plan has been developed by the Tourism Environment Leadership Group (supported by MBIE as the secretariat) to transform tourism in Aotearoa New Zealand towards a regenerative model. The link between the environment and tourism is rooted in the connection the tourism industry creates between people and the natural world. A regenerative tourism system will increase the mauri of our land, climate and people; and in doing so, support abundance for Aotearoa New Zealand’s diverse communities, the visitors that we host, and our economy.

The consultation runs until 19 July 2023. More information on the consultation can be found here.

How can you take part?

You attend the online workshop tomorrow Thursday 29 June, 11 am till noon by registering for the Zoom event;

and/or completing the online survey.
