HSE test exemption ends

CSCS has ended an exemption CSCS card applicants could previously use to get a CSCS card. Before the 2nd September, applicants who had achieved an SVQ or NVQ within the last 2 years did not have to pass the CITB Health, safety and environment test. Read more

Professional bodies eligible for CSCS cards

Applicants for CSCS cards can use their Professional Body membership to prove their skills, rather than the achievement of an NVQ or other equivalent qualifications. Members of professional bodies can apply for the Professionally Qualified Person card. Read more

Industry accreditation to be withdrawn

CSCS has consulted with the industry and agreed a plan that will pave the way for the eventual withdrawal of cards issued under Industry Accreditation. From 1st January 2020, all cards renewed under Industry Accreditation will expire on 31st December 2024. Read more

Applicants with Occupational Work Supervision NVQs

CSCS has issued an updated statement on what applicants who hold an NVQ in Occupational Work Supervision must do to get a CSCS card. Applicants must provide evidence of their skills in their occupation area as well at their OWS NVQ. Read more
