Hi

Our hearts are broken by the devastation across our country from the bushfires over the last few months, but there are many regions across Australia that are bushfire free and continue to welcome film and television production. We've created a special report highlighting the locations impacted across the country. No major cities or studios have been affected.

Our first newsletter for 2020 covers tonnes of production action in Australia since the holiday season.

We welcome Erin Stam, Ausfilm's new EVP of International Production who joined the Ausfilm team in our Los Angeles office this month. If you haven't met Erin yet we encourage you to drop her line.

Far North Queensland showcases its diverse locations in our monthly Location Spotlight

Ausfilm welcomes ILM into its Platinum membership following the opening of their Sydney office last year.

It is awards season and Australia's incredibly talented technical wizards and artists have been nominated and awarded for their outstanding work. Congratulations to our Platinum members: Animal Logic, Luma and Rising Sun Pictures for their nominations at the VES Awards.

Plus so much more Aussie screen news to consume below.

BUSHFIRES IN AUSTRALIA

Bushfires are still affecting some parts of Australia. However there are many towns and areas that remain safe and continue to welcome film and television production. Ausfilm has created a table outlining the cities and regional areas in Australia that are unaffected by fires and available as filming destinations. None of Australia’s five studio complexes are impacted nor are our capital cities. All international airports are operating as normal. This list will be updated regularly and we encourage you to contact Ausfilm or Australia's state screen agencies with any enquiries.
