Instagram: Be brand specific with hashtags

Want to maximize your brand power on Instagram? Try including your business name in some of your post hashtags.

You can also using unique tags for particular marketing campaigns. For instance, if you are hosting a photo contest on Instagram, make a unique tag solely for that single campaign.

By using this tactic, agents can both promote their exclusive contests as well as give the audience a distinct tag to connect with others participants. They can discover like-minded individuals they may want to follow on Instagram, or just simply check out their competition for the contest! In any case, they are increasing their connection to your brand and making your business more recognizable.

Know why people share content

People share social media content because the content makes the sharer look ______.

  •  controversial
  • insightful
  • intelligent
  • funny
  • virtuous
  • well-informed

Knowing this, design your content to cater to these desired attributes. Be sure to mix it up from time to time. In other words, design your posts so that sometimes they are humorous and on other occasions your posts are packed with information.

Ask for comments on your photos and updates

If you want more engagement on your posts, don't be afraid to ask for it.

Look at the text in the above Page Engage section. By asking the question, it opens up and directs the conversation. Ask your followers what they think of a new post you made, and more.

By writing your social media messaging in such a fashion, it provides a more open and friendly atmosphere for individuals to participate in.
