I think a fun night was had by all who came, and we also raised an impressive amount to support William’s Fund and the GPA. We’re still tallying final figures, and will announce the total amount raised soon. For those of you who missed the opportunity to purchase your photo-booth pictures at the ball, click the ishine graphic below and here are the log-in details: This week was a busy one at the school, starting with the coin-challenge count. The children braved the scorching heat on Monday to lay down their collection coins, working diligently to make straight, long lines on the astro. In total, the children raised £1068.16 – well done everyone! (see picture below). The top five classes were (rounded up to the nearest 1/2 foot): 5th place - Class 4W - 163 feet 4th place - Class 4K - 237 feet 3rd place - Class 4L - 304 feet 2nd place - Nursery - 326.5 feet 1st place – Class 1R – 348.5 feet At the end of the week we’ve been luckier with the weather and have had two lovely afternoons for Junior and Senior School Sports Days. Imago Juniors have had photographers at both events, and I will send out log-in details for ordering pictures as soon as they’re available. Finally, don’t forget to turn in your registration forms if you’d like to join us for our final event of the year, the Gayhurst Big Camp Out on 1st July. Hoping to see many of you there. Best Wishes Headmaster's Commendations this week...Zachary Fienberg 1R There are now 10 days to go before the 4th annual School Run to be held in Gerrards Cross on Sunday morning, 2nd July.So, if you haven't registered yet, perhaps you will consider doing so now to support School Aid.We are taking part in a 'Fun Run' at Bulstrode Park, next to the Bull Hotel, in conjunction with School Aid. This will take place on Sunday 2nd of July. The race covers a 5km course. The day will consist of an Inter-schools running competition from Year 3 to 8 and then a 5km fun run with a dress-up theme of 'safari'. Please put this date in your calendar! Gayhurst will be entering teams in all categories. No need to worry if you aren't selected for a school team - you can still take part in the fun run!! The start time for the inter-schools competition is 10:00 and the fun run at 10:30. This is a fantastic run with all money going to a worthy cause. Entry for the fun run goes live on the 1st April on 'The School Run' website. |
