Antibiotic Awareness Week: 14 - 20 November 2016
Handling antibiotics with care
is the theme of the annual global Antibiotic Awareness Week in 2016. Antibiotic resistance is a serious health issue so the awareness week encourages responsible use of antibiotics in the health sector, agriculture, industry and communities. NPS MedicineWise is coordinating Antibiotic Awareness Week 2016 in Australia. Three messages from the global campaign are: - misusing antibiotics may cause harm
- you could be passing on antibiotic resistant bacteria
- antibiotics are a precious resource that should be handled with care.
To get involved, find out more or order free resources, visit the
NPS website.
