Last fall, we spotlighted eight Black-owned bookstores in our store emails. We loved sharing their stories (and really cool merch!) with you. In honor of Black History Month here in the United States, we wanted to celebrate these amazing bookstores again. Please join us in supporting them! - Sistah Scifi is an online storefront focused on afro-futurism, science fiction, literature written
by Black women, and more.
- Elizabeth's Bookshop & Writing Centre is an Akron-based literacy center designed to amplify and celebrate marginalized voices.
- The Itty Bitty Bookstore recently found a space to become the only Black-owned business on Main Street in Stoughton, WI.
- Semicolon Bookstore & Gallery in Chicago, IL. is committed to nurturing the connection between art, literature, and the pursuit of knowledge.
- Black Garnet Books is based in the Twin Cities, MN, and strives to introduce everyone to underrepresented voices and stories, new and old.
